With this month's paper collection, White Pines, I decided to get a head start on some of my Christmas cards.

I first saw this type of card back in July when Donna Digby posted her winning Canada Day card entry. I thought it was very different and knew that I wanted to try making this type of card.

I embellished my card using gold sequins, gold foil trim and gold washi tape. I used green glitter paper to cut out a shape to use as a background to my sentiment.

I added another little folding tag on the back of the card to add a personal message. I also made slightly different varieties of the same card.

For this one-I added some gold shimmer trim and some red enamel gems.  I used the Joyful Garland stamp set with cranberry ink to stamp my sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed viewing this fun card. Please feel free to leave a comment!

Card in a box- a year in review

It's been almost a year now since I made my first card in a box. This was the most popular card I made & sold in 2014.

I have never really been a card maker but this type of card was so fun to make.
I've made them for just about every occasion.

Mother's Day
Wedding Anniversary

Birthday

Baby Shower

Engagement

30th Wedding Anniversary

Birthday

High School Graduation

Birthday

Father's Day

Father's Day

This year I am going to explore other types of fancy folds.
With the help of my Explore and some great SVG files out there the possibilities are endless!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

March's Hearts of the West Hopscotch Blog Hop

Welcome to the Hearts of the West team blog hop!

If this is your first time joining us you will love it. It features Close to my hearts Consultants from all over Canada showing you their projects. The hearts of the west team was founded by Nancy Klein.
This months challenge is the Hopscotch paper pack, brought to you by the new Annual Inspirations, hand picked from Nancy Klein.

If you came from Donna's Blog then you're in the right place, this is a go around blog hop so you can start anywhere! Just in case, the full list will be at the bottom. So, as always, grab your coffee, tea, water, relax, and hop around the team with us.

For my first project I used the circuit Artiste cartridge to create this cute little bag.

It takes only a few minutes to cut and fold. A great little gift bag for treats or even a gift card!

I used pattern 28 with cutting guide from Make it from your Heart Vol 2 to make this card.

The colors are very bright and cheerful! I inked the edges, added some stickers from the Hopscotch Complement and a few sequins and ribbon too.

I also used some of the same products to make this cute little handbag.

I embossed the front with the quatrefoil embossing folder to add some dimension.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed viewing these fun projects! Please feel free to leave a comment!
