I like to browse Pinterest,  a little too much is what my husband would say.  I get so many ideas and love to recreate some of the folds or techniques.
I saw a tutorial on a star fold card. I decided to try it out with this kit.
I used the August stamp of the month with thistle Z2640 and slate ink Z2173, along with some gold sequins Z2012 to decorate it.
What a quick and easy fold to do!
I decorated the envelope to match using the January sotm It's the little things S1411 and I used the scallop border punch Z1851 and a Martha Stewart Spider web punch.
I also created this layout for my October crop.  I used the Scaredy Cat paper pack X7185B and Complement X7185C.
I decorated it using some resin stars from the Scaredy Cat assortment Z3011 and some black shimmer tape Z1809.
I used some pop up dots to make my little pumpkin stand out.

It doesn't all have to be Halloween themed!
Here are a few cards I created using the patterned paper.

It can be used for any occasion! I used a stamp from the for a friend stamp set D1542 and added some slate intertwined baker's twine Z1921. I stapled the twine using my favorite new tool! The new mini stapler Z2027.

I made this card for a bridal shower. I lifted it from someone in a Facebook card making group. The sentiment is from the happy couple stamp set D1539. The dress stamp is one that was given to me but I had never used-until now! I added some sparkles Z1754, silver sequin Z2013 and a piece of tulle to go over the bottom of the dress.

My crop would not be complete without a treat!

I used the Artiste cartridge to make these cute treat boxes for the wonderful ladies that attend my crop. I used the resin stars from the Scaredy Cat assortment Z3011, the spider is from the complement X7185C and I stamped the little sentiments using the Frightfully fun stamp set B1453 with slate ink Z2173.

I had extra time to create so many projects this month. I love the versatility of this paper pack. I hope you enjoyed viewing my projects!

Chalk it Up crop

It felt great to get back to the craft room getting the kits ready for another crop.  Chalk it Up is the kit I decided to work with this month. With September being back to school it just seemed fitting.

I did this layout using 3 different school pictures of my daughter. I used our mini stapler to attach the piece or striped twill ribbon Z1988 on the top. I stamped using the workshop on the go stamp set.

I also used this kit to make several different cards.
I used the you mean the wold to me B1467 stamp set on this card which was inspired by Pinterest.

One of the cards from the chalk it up picture my life kit was used on this card along with some washi tape and chalk it up assortment.
For this card here I wanted to showcase the masking tape technique. I used lagoon, sorbet, and flaxen to create the background to my stamped image from Capture the day A1165 stamp set. I used a small flower and the striped twill ribbon Z1988 to decorate my card and more washi tape.

I have never before followed instructions or recipe cutting guides to create layouts or cards. When I saw fellow consultants Susan Williams's Chalk it Up Workshop guide I definitely had to have it. I loved the beautiful layouts. So I purchased her instructions and recreated them for my crop. I had already used some of my chipboard pieces so I changed it up a bit.

Her guide was very easy to follow and they turned out beautifully! I love everything about the layouts! Now to find some pictures to fill these.
