May's HOTW Happy Times Bloghop

I made this birthday card using the new rose foil tape and the May stamp of the month(sotm). I also added some flamingo dots.

I added a tag to the inside of my card and used the May sotm for my sentiments. More flamingo dots were used as well as white & gold ribbon .

I created this layout from a sketch I found on pinterest. I made a few changes and once I find the perfect pictures I will be able to add my title on the top.
I used many of the same products as mentioned above;flamingo dots , white & gold ribbon , gold sequins, and I also used Lagoon ink pad to ink my edges.

September's Hearts of the West Blog Hop

I've been travelling and enjoying the outdoors this summer and have been neglecting my projects and craft room. I'm sure I'm not the only one!! As my crafting "to do" list is getting longer I decided to use this paper pack to also make cards for my monthly CTMH card swap.

I used both the Pathfinding paper pack (X7186B) and complements (X7186C).

I used the thin 3d foam tape (Z2060) to layer my sentiment- from the You mean the world to me stamp set (B1467) and regular foam dots for the chipboard piece. I placed the flower chipboard on the edge of the flap to keep the card closed.

There were a few different shapes so I used all the flowers. I added a piece a bronze shimmer trim (Z1849) to add some sparkle and some durables triangle studs (Z1928) on the top of the fold.

On the inside of my card I used the Fabulous You stamp set (C1533) and the wood grain washi tape(discontinued).

My card wouldn't be complete without a matching envelope! I used the Thank you from the pretty petals stamp set (C1599).

Hearts of the West team blog hop, August edition!

This months challenge is a color challenge brought to you by Design seed and hand picked from Nancy Klein.

Here is the details of our late summer projects!

I'm not really a card maker but you wouldn't know it by all my recent projects. These pop up card boxes are so much fun to make that I just can't help it!

For this project I used the Celebration stamp set for the cupcake, the gifts & for the sentiments. This stamp set is included with the Cricut Art Philosophy bundle Z1686.

The top of the cupcakes were colored using our new ShinHan alcohol markers (p.180 of Idea Book). I have to say, they are AMAZING!!! Excellent quality and at a great price.

I also used the 3-D foam tape Z2060 for the gifts on each panel to add extra dimension.

I decided to try something I've been seeing lately on different sites, the masking tape technique. I used extra pieces I had left from my pop up card box.

It didn't turn out exactly as I had hoped but this is definitely something I will try again! I used the same stamp set as mentioned above for the cupcake and I also used Joyful Birthday B1419 for the sentiment.

For the inside of my card I used the new chevron border punch (LOVE!) and the sentiment is from Your own kind of wonderful stamp set D1627.

Heart's of the West July Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Hearts of the West team blog hop July edition. If this is your first time joining us you will love it. It features Close to my heart consultants from the hearts of the west and team members from all over Canada and is founded by Nancy Klein. This month's challenge is a celebration of our beloved Country's Birthday!

A fun little fact...Canada is turning 147 years old. This month our challenge is using red and white.

This month is a challenge for sure, we are able to use the basic color pallet for accent colors. Grab your coffee, sit down and join us on a journey of creative paper crafts from the Heart!

A fellow consultant posted cute little purses she made on her Facebook page. I thought they were so cute & just had to make some too!

I made a few minor changes to the design but otherwise the same. I used the polka dot embossing folder on the white cardstock for both sides of the gift purse.

I also saw another tutorial by the same crafter.

For this little gift card holder, I embossed it using the damask embossing folder.

For this one I used the quatrefoil embossing folder and added a cute little bow from the Ariana assortment.

These are cute little sets that can be paired as a gift for someone special!

June Hearts of the West Team blog hop

Welcome to The Hearts of the West Team blog hop. June Edition!

This month's color challenge has been picked by Nancy Klein. It's soft color pallet perfect for this time of year. The project is open to our choice to keep it simple.

If you came from Amanda K Gordon then you're on the right track. This is a circular blog hop, if you get lost or want to start at the beginning. You can find the list down below.

I used the CTMH Art Philosophy to cut the shape of my card and base. I also cut the 3D rose using this same cartridge. The only colored cardstock used for this project was the hollyhock for the card base and crystal blue as a border. I used all the other colors to stamp or ink my card.

I used Olive to ink the leaves and I decided to use the Barn Red to ink my flowers and the side of my sentiment shape. I stamped a border with a stamp from In the Background stamp set using Blush.

This was my first blog hop and I am looking forward to doing this again!

A box for any occasion.

Card boxes are different and make you think outside the box ;)

They are very popular these days popping up on many different sites & blogs. They are a lot of fun to make but they do take a little more time than a regular card. After making my first Mother's Day card I've received many requests for similar cards.

I could barely keep up with the Mother's Day card request so now I've stocked some Father's Day cards ahead so it won't be such a rush.

Golf theme birthday card.

Most recently I was asked to make an anniversary card. I love the way it turned out. These small roses are so much fun to make! I think you'll be seeing more of these!
